To open the AutoText screen, from the Jump screen, press MENU AutoText - Sidekick then select Settings > AutoText.
AutoText - Sidekick

  1. If you want the first letter in new sentences to be capitalized automatically, select the Capitalize first letter of sentences check box.
  2. If you want the replacement rules listed on the screen to be in effect, select the Automatic Word Replacement check box.
  3. To discard any of the replacement rules, roll the TRACKBALL to highlight the rule, press MENU AutoText - Sidekick then select Discard [AutoText - Sidekick AutoText - Sidekick ]. You are prompted to confirm that you really want to remove the rule. Select Discard to remove the rule or Back AutoText - Sidekick to keep the rule after all.
  4. To add a new replacement rule, press MENU AutoText - Sidekick then select New Rule [AutoText - Sidekick N]. The New Replacement Rule dialog box opens. Type the word or phrase that you commonly misspell in the first text field, then type the correct spelling in the second field. For example:

AutoText - Sidekick

  1. Select DONE AutoText - Sidekick to save the replacement rule, or CANCEL AutoText - Sidekick if you don't want to save it after all.
  2. To return all AutoText settings to those set when you first received your device, press MENU AutoText - Sidekick then select Restore Defaults. You'll be asked to confirm this decision. Note that this action will not remove any custom rules you may have defined.
