check boxes. -
Call Waiting
The default setting for call waiting (on or off) is determined by your contract with your wireless operator. To change the default setting, select the Change Default Setting button. Your device will query the network and determine whether call waiting is on or off, then ask if you want to switch it. -
Caller ID
Select the Show my number for all calls check box to "turn on" Caller ID. (This check box is selected by default.) You can make an exception for just the next call you make by selecting the Hide My Number for Next Call Only button. (The button will toggle to read Show My Number for Next Call if you change your mind before you make the next call.) If you want to hide your number from the people you call, then clear the Show my number for all calls check box. With this check box cleared, the single call exception button will read Show My Number for Next Call Only. (The button will toggle to read Hide My Number for Next Call if you change your mind before you make the next call.) -
Jump Screen Dialing
If you leave this check box deselected (no check mark), then you will be able to use the Jump shortcuts to jump to the various applications on the device by just pressing the shortcut letter while on the Jump screen. If you want to be able to use letters to dial from the Jump screen, then select this check box. If the check box is selected, in order to use the Jump shortcuts to applications, you will have to press the Jump
button, plus the shortcut key to make the jump.
