To add an account, do the following while in the Email application:
  1. From the Browse Email screen, press MENU Add an External Email Account-Sidekick LX - Sidekick then select Accounts > Add Account. Alternatively you can select the Add Account tab (if shown). Select the type of account:
    • If you select one of the branded accounts, you will be asked to sign in, agree to the terms of service, and your account will be set up in its own tab. If signin is successful, the last 7 days of messages will be fetched to your device. You are set up!
    • If you select the POP/IMAP option, you will be asked to provide some information, described in steps Step 2 - Step 5 below.
  2. The Sign-In Information dialog box appears:
    • Complete the Mail Server field. If you selected a specific email service in the Protocol field, then the Mail Server field will auto-fill. If you don't know the name of your email server, your email provider will be able to tell you, or you can reference the table below for samples. If you have an email account through your ISP, contact them for more assistance.

    • Select Protocol from the pop-up menu. If you aren't sure what protocol your email server uses, select Auto-detect (the default selection) or select one of the email services listed at the bottom of the pop-up menu.
    • Complete the Port field. Unless your email provider has specified otherwise, leave the port at 110. If you selected a specific email service in the Protocol field, then the Port field will auto-fill correctly.
    • Complete the Username field. This is the name you use to sign in to your account.
    • Complete the Password field. This is the password you use for your external email account.
    When complete, select Next Add an External Email Account-Sidekick LX - Sidekick.
  3. The Identity dialog box appears. Complete the following fields as you wish:
    • From Name/Address - All messages sent from this account will use this Name/Address.
    • Reply-To Name/Address - All messages sent from this account will specify this Reply-To Name/Address.
    When complete, select Next Add an External Email Account-Sidekick LX - Sidekick.
  4. The Incoming Email dialog box appears. Select to store your account email in either:
    • a separate tab, or
    • your primary account folder. Select a folder or create a new folder from the pop-up menu.
    When complete, select Done Add an External Email Account-Sidekick LX - Sidekick.
  5. The system will attempt to sign you in to the account. You will receive notification if there are any sign-in problems.

I keep on trying to add my Yahoo account to my Sidekick Lx and I dont know the port number so I leave it at "110".Then about two minutes later I get an E-Mail On My Tmomail account saying port 110 could not be validated what should I do?
