The Browse Email screen is your main view into the Email application. The Browse Email screen lists all your email, grouped into folders, ordered by date.
On the Browse Email screen (shown above), you'll see the "system folders"-- Inbox, Saved, Sent, Drafts, Junk, and Trash -- plus all the folders you have created to organize your email, identified by a folder-type icon

To the right of the folder name, if it has unread messages, the number of unread messages is shown in parentheses. In the example above, Inbox (1) contains one unread message. The Inbox is shown in "expanded" view (its list of emails is showing), with the first message in bold, indicating it is "unread". Messages shown in italic have only the message header downloaded (select to receive message). The Saved, Sent, Drafts, Junk, and Trash folders are shown collapsed.

Individual email messages are grouped in collapsible folder lists, as shown in the illustration above. To open (expand) a folder's list of email, scroll to highlight the folder name, then press the TRACKBALL or roll the TRACKBALL right. To collapse the list, press again or roll the TRACKBALL left.

To open an individual email, scroll to highlight the email, then press the TRACKBALL. To the left of items in the Browse Email screen, there could be an icon that indicates the status of a message.

Tips:

• To jump quickly between folders, press up or down on the D-PAD; alternatively you can press the ALT key while rolling the TRACKBALL up or down.
  
  
• To select multiple messages, highlight the first message then hold the SHIFT key while rolling the TRACKBALL up or down.
  
  
• To select all messages in a folder below or above a given message, highlight the message you want to use as the reference point, then hold down the SHIFT key while pressing the D-PAD up (to select up) or down (to select down).
  
  
• To select messages that are not adjacent to each other, highlight the first message and press SHIFT + TRACKBALL. Release the SHIFT key and roll the TRACKBALL to highlight the next message you want to select. Press SHIFT + TRACKBALL. Continue until all messages you want are selected. To deselect all, press the TRACKBALL without holding down SHIFT.
