Hmm.

re: the free ringtones. The RIAA would have a field day on that one. That's the main reason for people not being able to create their own ringtones, as far as I know: the potential for copyright violation is huge.I bought a 7.2mpx camera for less than the cost of the SK3 at its last sale price. If you want a great camera, buy a camera, not a phone. Cameras on phones will always be inferior to a real camera, but they're usually added on for convenience and quick snapshots for picture messages. Video and java, however, yeah, I think those would make good additions, but I'm not sure how java compatibility would work with the Danger OS. |

I understand the copywrite laws, but every other phone is capable of it... thats all I'm saying, On my razr I could cut songs and put them on my phone for ringtones, I know it might not be what they intended it for - and illegal -, but it's kinda like p2p sharing, LOTS of people use it to illegally download music even though thats not what its meant for.As for the camera... at least a 2 or 2.5mpx would be a huge improvement (I would probably pay more for an upgrade like that) My boyfriend found a nokia with a 7.5 mpx. My point is I (as do MANY other on the go people) don't want to carry a phone and a camera, to be honest with you I would much rather use my canon rebel film camera then a digital anyday, but I'm not gonna lug that around everywhere I go on the chance I might want to take a pic. I DO know that the pictures end up looking alot better on the computer then they do just on the sidekick, and the new LX screen probably fixes that problem... It's just an idea. THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK BTW! just a question, what is your opinion on the LX? Was it worth them doing a new sidekick with such few upgrades? |

I can plug songs in on my RAZR, too, but that's because I've got the Motorola Phone Tools kit, which Motorola produced (but Motorola also doesn't have to answer directly to the recording labels since it doesn't provide ringtones). Also, Motorola sells its phones internationally, whereas as far as I know, the LX is currently only available here (and the RIAA has a track record of not taking kindly to copyright infringement, here, to the point of sending lawyers and representatives to Sweden and telling SWEDISH COPS how to catch file piraters).I haven't gotten an LX into my hands to muck about much, but it looks pretty good, from what I've seen. However, I think there was some serious ball-dropping in not including a wifi radio in the thing. If the Wing can do it, the Sidekick should. |

I think they dropped the ball on quite a few things, but the radio IS an obvious one!!!!Ringtones aside, I LOVE my sidekick, and my boyfriend is waiting for his wing to come in the mail (should be here tom.) so I'll get to play with both! |
