p.s. if u have any questions hit me up,
i've had every sidekick and i can help
you download music, themes, create for your sidekicks!!
-->how to create your own themes by: carmendelia<-- -
to begin, first create a folder on your desktop. name it
whatever.like--> "Sidekick Themes"
-
next you can use something as simple as "paint" if you want or for you more creative sidekickers you can use "photoshop" and what not. :-)
-
NOTE: images for should be sized to 320x208.
- okay so now you have the 2 pix you want as you backgrounds for your themes. As you already know you have a main background and a folder or "sub" background. i always name my main background bg1.(jpg or gif or whatever) and i name my folder/sub background bg2
- on your desktop double-click your "Sidekick Themes" folder and you will now make a new folder. Whats your theme? Lets call this one "Gossip Girl". after you name it double click it. >now you should be in the GG folder<
-
Okay. now lets get those 2 pix that you saved and drag them copy them however you want just get them to the "Gossip Girl" folder. in the GG folder you should have a bg1 pic and a bg2 pic. BAM! one last thing!
-
"right click" in that same folder. this is important do this correctly. and open up "notepad" or on my cpu "text document" you will have to do this each time! type it in exactly the way i have it below. [[wink.wink]]
# nameoftheme #
string name nameoftheme
bitmap ring-background bg1.jpg,gif or whatever
bitmap ring-folder-background bg2.jpg, gif or whatever
-
now "save as" and name it "theme". and it will be in that folder only. note: you should have 3 different items in that particular folder (GG in our case) bg1, bg2, and your "theme.txt" you made in notepad or text doc.
-
now plug in your phone and enjoy! note: you need to create a Themes folder in your memory card if you haven't already!
