how can i upload the pics from my sidekick 08 to my computer

i just got a sidekik 08 and i'm having trouble uploadng the pictures from da phone to my computer. whenever i plug in the USB to the phone da pictures jus disappeared from my albums. Can anyone HELP ME PLZ!!!!!!
